Loving Life in Australia
We are loving life in Australia! The house we have rented is great, our kitty is back with us, we are really enjoying the area, I've made a few good friends through playgroup and have even joined the playgroup committee to give me a bit of volunteer work to do. And soon we are about to experience our first christmas in the sun! We are also enjoying our 'cookbook dinner' nights, a weekly routine we have established with Hal and Tash, whereby we all rotate and each weekend one cooks a new meal that we have not cooked before. A great way to try new recipes, and experiment with making things we have not attempted before. So far, no epic failures!!
We are very much enjoying our move to Australia and everything that it has offered us thus far.
Such a big move, and so much change for our little guy, I am proud at how well he has faired with it all. A few bumps along the road, a few struggles adjusting and fitting in, playing with new kids and being with mommy and only mommy all the time, but Connor has done well, and seems to be happy with his life too here in Australia. We have a pretty good routine going each week, with playgroup, swim lessons, and a half day of daycare. Connor is starting to get comfortable with being left for a few hours without mommy, and mommy is very much enjoying having a few hours each week to have some "me" time.
