We had a quiet Christmas at our house this year, and shared part of the day prior with friends Anna and Mat. We did a bit of a mix of christmas traditions with them Christmas Eve day. Enjoyed an afternoon of Raclette - which is a fondue type meal, only with a grill of prawns and meat and potatoes and cheese. It was so yummy and a great way to sit around and visit for the afternoon while we grilled. Then I cooked dinner - a turkey and stuffing, but instead of all the usual Canadian hot accompaniments, I just made a few cold salads to go with our meal. And of course pumpkin pie for dessert, which was enjoyed by all. Was woken up pretty early on Christmas morning by an excited boy who discovered Santa had come and brought all the Lego presents he asked for (must have been a good boy)! Most of the day was spent in jammies building Lego and eating leftovers from our Christmas meal the day before. Merry Christmas everyone!
