RIP Ember

We are all very sad today as we had to say goodbye to Ember, our beloved cat.  She had been a bit lethargic and not eating for a couple of days so I took her into the vet to have a check.  Was told she was a bit dehydrated and that they wanted to keep her in overnight to rehydrate her and to investigate what was wrong.  Over the next two days, she worsened and we were told she was not doing well at at and we needed to make a decision to either have her put down or take to her another animal hospital to have surgery to drain the fluid that had built up around her lungs, and further investigate what was wrong.  As we were at the vet's office talking to them about our options, Ember decided she had fought long enough and passed away peacefully, making the decision for us, that it was her time. Ember was such a loving cuddly cat who joined our family as a little frightened kitten in September 2005, who would hide under the bedside table but purr when you were in the room trying to coax her to come out.  She braved the move to Australia to be reunited with us, and had been such a happy cat since being here with us again.  It is very hard to say goodbye, as we will all miss her dearly.  RIP Ember.  You will forever be remembered.
