To the Beach - Dolphins

I walked down to the fish market to meet Hal and Tash this morning. Checked out their kitchen wares store at the market, along with all the fish market stores. Wow - that's a lot of seafood!

We then drove out to Palm Beach, where we went for a hike up to the lighthouse up high on the cliff. Bushwacking in Australia! Saw no creepy crawlies though, which was good.

Hiked back down, grabbed some lunch at a little beachside cafe, and had a picnic on the lawn. We were sitting and talking about how Hal had heard that there were dolphins at Manly Beach the other day (we never saw any when we were there), and I said how cool it would be to see some here, got out my camera to go take some pictures of the surf...and look....DOLPHINS!!

We watched from afar on the lawn while we finished eating, and then headed down to the sand to see if they would come back....and they did. They swam back and forth in the bay, swimming by us twice up close to the beach. They were fishing, and "surfing" - quite spectacular to see!
