Snow in April - what the heck?

Yes, that's right, here on the beautiful west coast, we got snow this weekend. It started on Friday afternoon, towards the end of the workday, when I was sitting at my desk looking out the window at the beginning of a winter wonderland. It started hailing/snowing and after about 2 minutes the ground was white. It eased off a bit for the drive home, and had pretty much stopped by 5 pm. But started up during the night again, and on and off throughout Saturday. Never really stuck around in the city, or at our house, but the mountaintops sure were covered, and there were lots of cars driving around with snow on their hoods all weekend, so the outlying areas got much more of a dump. Still, its cold – cold enough to see your breath in the morning, which is not normal for us west-coasters this time of year. Kevin’s Nana is coming to visit from Ontario next week – perhaps she can bring with her some of that 24 degree weather they are having!!
