A Weekend in the Hunter

We had a lovely weekend in the Hunter Valley with Hal, Tash and Laila. Two very good meals, a few wineries, some candle shopping in Tash's store and swimming in the pool. All in all, not a bad way to spend the weekend. Weather was fantastic, the wineries we hit were fabulous and the meals...oh the meals - I don't think we need to eat for a week. Went to two new vineyards on Saturday that we have never been to before, and then on Sunday, went to our fave spot , where we bought a few more bottles of our favourites. Stopped at the Smelly Cheese Shop just before heading back into the city to buy an assortment of cheeses, crackers and flatbread, which we took back to Hal and Tash's to snack on before dinner. Hal did a lovely BBQ, cracked open one of the bottles from the Hunter, and then it was time to head back into the city. Boooo - Kevin has to work again - play time is over for him.
