Na Pali Coast - a day of touring

Got up early this morning, grabbed a quick bite to eat in the condo, and headed out in the minivan to the North Coast to get in some snorkeling and site seeing. Destination - Tunnels Beach (said to be good snorkeling). Made several stops along the way to take pictures of nature and the ocean (Mary is camera happy), until we finally got to the North tip of the island, as far as the road goes, to Ke'e Beach. Set up camp on the beach and headed out to the edge of the reef to do a little snorkeling. I saw a huge turtle, and a few fish. Not much to see really, and was pretty murky - surf was quite big today. After about an hour of being at the beach, the lifeguard actually announced, and swam out to tell (because no one could hear him over the loud speaker) everyone to get out of the water, as the surf and riptide was too strong. And just as it started to rain a bit, so we packed up and headed back into the town of Kapa'a for lunch. The plan was to hit a Thai restaurant (Meema's) that was recommended to us, but unfortunately it was closed when we got there, so we walked across the street to a pizza joint, which turned out to be fairly good. Going to try for the Thai place tomorrow.

Drove back into Lihue, to find the fish market, as we want to cook a fish feast on the bbq tonight...but it was closed too...so off to find another one. Fish store two was a bust as well, as they only had 2 different types of fish, and neither looked too appealing, so onto Fish Market #3. This one turned out great. Bought a nice slab of Ahi, Swordfish and Mahi Mahi...mmmm, back to the resort for some gooood cookin'!
