Christmas at Home

Had Christmas at our place this year. Mom and Dad came down for a few days - arrived the evening of my birthday (Dec 23) and stayed until the 27th. Ordered in Chinese food for my b-day. Our friends Brian and Mary joined us for dinner, and then another friend arrived at about the same time my parents did, so we all enjoyed birthday cake (and homemade vanilla ice cream that I made with my birthday present from Kevin, the ice cream maker attachment for my Kitchenaid mixer - YUM)!
Opened presents in the morning. Had Christmas dinner that evening with all the fixings. Mom and Dad helped out with the turkey. Was a nice day.
Mom and I ventured to the mall on Boxing Day, but came home empty handed. Not too many good sales to be had - and the stores were pretty picked over.
Watched a few movies, sat and visited and mostly just had a relaxing time. Mom and Dad got hooked on playing Angry Birds on our iPads, so they had fun with that!
It's back to work for me. Kevin is off this week between Christmas and New Years, so is looking forward to the downtime.
