Black Rock Resort in Ucluelet

Kevin and I went away for the long weekend to Ucluelet to stay at the Black Rock Resort - one last little getaway before baby comes. Was a beautiful drive up to Tofino/Ucluelet area. Kevin liked the windy roads!
Spent the afternoon wondering around Tofino a bit, stopped a few places to buy some easter chocolates - yum! And then headed back to Ucluelet to the resort. Beautiful place right on the water. We had a fabulous suite away from the hotel a bit, with a great view of the water. Relaxed for a bit, and then headed down to the lounge for some drinks and dinner (have been snacking all day, so we just had appies in the lounge).
Got up on Saturday, headed to the restaurant for breakfast, and then drove back into Tofino to wonder around a bit again, and to check out Long Beach. Watched the surfers for awhile before heading back to the hotel. Had a prenatal massage booked back at the hotel after lunch, so couldn't stray too far. Brrrr that water is cold - not sure how those surfers can stay out there. My feel went numb just from wading for a few minutes.
Ahhhhh, massage was amazing! Feeling much better. Reservation for dinner at the hotel restaurant that night. Food was good. I had the duck and Kevin at their 'claim to fame' seafood pot. Both very enjoyable.

Well, back to the city on Sunday. Have a turkey dinner to get to at our friend's parents place. Lovely weekend away. Happy Easter!!
