Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My

After breakfast and a nap (not us, the boy....well I might have shut my eyes for a bit outside on the couch on our patio), we called our driver Made (pronounced Mau-day) who we used last time, to take us to the Bali Zoo.  Wasn't too bad of a place, lots of monkeys, which of course are my favourite, and seemed to be Connor's too.  He wasn't as thrilled with the animals quite as much as we thought he would be. I think it was hard for him to pick them out in the cages, as most were pretty lethargic and not moving to catch his eye.  Still a nice outing though.  Not every day you get to see a three legged tiger (apparently born that way). After the zoo, Made drove us into Ubud for some crispy duck at my request.  He took us to a place called the Dirty Duck, apparently renowned for its "original crispy duck". According to Made, it's where the president's daughter often comes for duck when she is in town.  It was GOOD!!!  Connor was starting to get fussy so we drove back to Sanur to our hotel and put him down for a bit of a nap again (well tried, he had a bit of quiet time which seemed to recharge him). Then it was off to the pool again for a dip with daddy and then ordered him some dinner (penne pasta which he devoured) and put him to bed. Kevin and I then with baby monitor in hand (got the signal to just reach the corner of the restaurant) had dinner too before retiring to bed. They had a special turkey buffet at the restaurant for thanksgiving, but we didn't come to Bali for turkey dinner, so we ordered Indonesian fare off their regular menu. I think tomorrow's agenda is just some lounging around again on the beach and by the pool.  And perhaps another massage...
