Happy Birthday Kevin!

I hosted a sushi party this weekend for Kevin's birthday, which turned out to be quite a success I think! I did a full blown Japanese meal (with help) of Miso soup, Sunomono salad, rolls, sashimi and rice with sesame sauce. The rolls turned out great - thanks to Tina and Mary, who did the bulk of the rolling, while I was preparing other things in the kitchen! Only minor issue was the noodles in the sunomono salad - I was shown in the Japanese food store which noodles to buy...obviously the wrong ones, as they were somewhat reminiscent of "gummy worms" - I little too thick and slippery....oh well, it still tasted good! Was just a little more slurping going on at the table.
