A Drive to the Lighthouse
Got up this morning, had breakfast and then we all drove out to the Kilauea Lighthouse, which is located out along the Na Pali coast. Pretty views, lots of birds...but sadly no whales spotted out in the water. Hal was hoping to see monk seals too. A little lacking on the wildlife :(
Tash wasn't feeling well, so we headed back to the resort, making a pit stop at Mema's - a thai restaurant that was recommended to us, for some lunch takeout. Mmmm, good food.
Kevin and I went exploring a bit on our own later in the afternoon. Drove around Poipu, checking out the big resorts - the Hyatt is really nice. Stopped at Poipu Village and looked in the shops a bit, drove along the ocean, and found the spouting horn - a lookout where the tide comes in under the rocks and shoots up out of the holes like a spout! Kinda cool to see.
Then it was back to the resort, a little chillin' time, and Kevin, Mary and I headed into Lihue for sushi.
