Mmm Mexican Food
Another hot day at the resort. Breakfast buffet followed by a swim. Connor and Daddy went in the pool, and Connor had his first quick dunk underwater experience - sadly he did not enjoy it :(
Pool time was followed by a quick nap (Connor, not us) and then a trip down to the beachside lunch buffet. Am loving the guacamole (well actually it just seems to be only mushed up avocado, but its good on nachos).
Apparently we were all tuckered out because we all had a nap after lunch. Then it was time to get ready to go for dinner. We decided to take a night off from resort food and booked at a Mexican restaurant (Mi Casa) downtown that came highly recommended by the concierge. Got Connor bathed and in his jammies and we headed downtown in a cab.
Food was great! Unfortunately the lil' boy was not happy. Daddy walked around with him a bit before our food came, and then we realized that he was probably just hot (restaurant was open air and it was stinkin' hot and humid). Undressed him a bit and he seemed to be happier. 3 Senors playing guitars were making their way around to the tables playing music. When they made it over our way, we just pointed to the baby and shook our heads and said no, hoping they'd get the idea that we were trying to get him to sleep. As they walked away, the one started to strum on his guitar the lullaby we play for Connor each night so we said hey hey come back. They came back and he quietly strummed the lullaby to Connor and then they played another song. Connor was wide eyed staring at them the whole time. I think he enjoyed it. So much for getting him to sleep though!
He was pretty much content through the rest of the meal (albeit he had to be bounced on mommy's knee). Finished off with wonderful desserts - flan for me and a frozen chocolate dessert for Kevin, which was super. Then it was back to our room for beddie-by. Night Night!
