Nana and Papa come for a visit

Kevin's parents came for a visit for a couple of weeks. They had a wonderful time spending time with Connor, and Kevin and I managed to escape for a few days for a mommy and daddy only getaway to Ucluelet to the Blackrock Resort. Was a nice relaxing getaway. I read my first novel in probably about 3 years - finally a book that had more than 10 words to a page.....and no pictures!! Spent most of our time just lounging in our room, reading, snoozing and enjoying the view of the waves crashing on the rocks outside our window. The entire west coast of the island was without power for most of the first day we were there, but we hardly noticed. We were happy just holding up in our room in front of the fireplace. Went for a couple really nice dinners, took a drive to Tofino one afternoon, and spent some time at the hotel spa. Kevin had a massage, and I had a facial and a mani/pedi. Was a lovely weekend away. And Connor apparently had a wonderful time with Nana and Papa; hardly missed us at all!! We treated Kevin's parents to a night out at our favourite restaurant - Ulla (www.ulla.ca). They seemed to really enjoy it. We also celebrated 'papa's' birthday during their stay, so all around, had a great time. So nice to have them spend time with Connor.
