Maui Mania

We are on the beautiful island of Maui, relaxing and enjoying the sun....a little too much maybe. We are both pretty crispy today, but loving the beach, and warm weather.
We left from Victoria after work on Thurs, flew to Seattle, and spent the night at the Airport Marriott, Kevin's home away from home when he travels and can't make the hop across the pond late at night. Had a nice dinner there - I had grilled oysters (Mmmm), and we both had a wonderful clam chowder.
Got up early the next morning, headed to the airport, and off we were to Honolulu, where we had a 4.5 hr layover. and then made it onto Maui at about 4:30. Drove to our condo, checked in, and enjoyed the views - we're on the 5th floor, overlooking the pool, and out across the road to the ocean! BEAUTIFUL!!
Relaxed a little, drove to a nearby grocery store to get some snacks, and then headed to the Sushi restaurant just infront of the resort. Suppose to be the best in Kihei...and yes it was. Very good sushi indeed!

Got up the next morning, and went to visit the onsite concierge to book some tours.
Our schedule is as follows:
Sun - snorkling tour to Molokini and Turtle Town
Mon - condo presentation (our attendence says us about $350 in tour costs, so we'll give them 90 mins of our time), then we are driving out to Hana - suppose to be a gorgeous drive along windy oceanside roads, with plenty of waterfalls to see, and the black sand beach.
Tues - we each have 90 min massages booked - looking forward to that - hope the burnt shoulders are heeled by then....
Wed - helicopter tour over Maui and Molokai
Thurs - a drive up Haleakala (dormant volcano, 10,000 ft up - a windy road, gorgeous views)
Fri - move from our condo to our last night here - staying at the Wailea Marriott. Luau that night at the hotel.
Sat - boo, time to come home.
