Villa Agung Khalia
We left our resort in Sanur early this afternoon to head to Ubud to our new home for the next week, a three bedroom villa we will be sharing with the Aussies, who are joining us in Bali for a week. The drive up to the villa from Ubud was a little hairy. Made us wonder a bit just what type of place was this going to be, but when we arrived, it most definitely was everything we had seen on the Internet when we booked it. A beautiful secluded villa in the middle of the rice fields. Absolutely stunning! The Aussies arrived just a bit before us. After hugs all around, we got settled a bit and then it was off for a dip in our beautiful private pool out the front of our villa. We are loving this place so far. Very quiet and secluded. The villa is beautiful, very spacious, and the patio and pool area is super. The pool has a nice shallow area that Connor quite enjoys.
We orderd dinner in our villa from the restaurant here. The food is fantastic. Very fresh and so flavorful. We have friends in the villa with us - little geckos inhabit the walls. Kinda fun to watch them running up and down the walls....as long as they stay up there!
I think we are going to venture into the town of Ubud tomorrow. Kevin wants to go back to Ebu Oka, the little lunch place we went last time we were here that does the roast pig (Babi Guling).
