The Louvre

Visited the Louvre today - decided it was more the pace Kevin could handle today as he is still not feeling well. Saw the famous Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo....and lots of other paintings and scultures and artsy stuff. We both enjoyed all the medival Egyptian artifacts most though - crazy that some of the stuff in there is estimated to be 10,000 yrs old. I can't fathom how they managed to make some of the stuff they did. We saw all sorts of stone pieces with ancient hieroglyphics....kinda cool! But seeing the Mona Lisa in all its little glory was pretty neat too. Yes, she is quite small, and hanging on a wall behind thick glass all by herself. The only part of the museum that there is a line formed to get to the front to view it. Hopefully Kevin will be better for Versailles tomorrow.
